Program details  

The New Careers for Aboriginal People Program is funded by the Department of Education & Training (DET). The NCAP program covers the areas of Stuarts Point to the South to Wollogoolga in the North. The NCAP Program provides an cultural sensitive environment that enables  Inidgenoua people easier access into employment and training activities. 

TARGET GROUP

Indigenous people who wish to find work or improve their current job situation through tailored individual support mentoring and advocacy support services.

To assist Aboriginal people to access education and training pathways.
To address their individual needs.
To enhance their prospects of permanent employment.

  
  
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

To increase the participation of Aboriginal people in the labour market.
Through indentifying and supporting sustainable education, training and employment opportunities at the local level.

The NCAP Program offers a range of services including the following; Job Referral - Resume & Interview Techniques -
Jobs Search Tools - Career Planning - Networking - Follow up & Support - Advice - Job Placement Mentoring - Training & Skills Development.

The NCAP Program also offers pre - employment training called (Passport To Employment) to develop client's skill's to be job ready run by Mrs Catherine Bula.
