Historical View
Ngurrala Aboriginal Corporation was formed in 1994, following years of work from the Nambucca Valley Koorie Network Committee. They developed and submitted for a Community Development Employment Project (CDEP) proposal to the former Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) and was successful with their application.
Ngurrala Aboriginal Corporation officially opened for business on the 15th of April 1996. After purchasing the former "Palm World" site at 7 Wirrimibi Road at Newee Creek, situated on a two & half hectare property and had it's first intake of CDEP participants on the 6th of May 1996.
Job Services Australia
Ngurrala's Aboriginal Corporation has been successful in obtaining a three year contract to manage the Job Services Australia program funded by Department Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
INDIGENOUS EMPLOYMENT & ECONOMIC PANEL
Ngurrala Aboriginal Corporation has also been successful in obtaining a two year contract to manage the Indigenous Employment & Economic Panel also funded by Department Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
